THIS is the horror moment two people are killed by a lightning strike on a Mexican beach.
Footage of the drama showed the victims collapsing on the sand as a woman near them began screaming.
The tragedy happened on a beautiful Central Pacific Coast beach called Playa Maruata in the Mexican state of Michoacan.
The victims, both Mexicans, were described as a female tourist from the state of Guanajuato who was named locally as 33-year-old Elvia de Jesus, and a male hammock seller from Tecoman in the state of Colima.
The woman died instantly.
The man was given emergency medical attention at the scene and was rushed to hospital still alive but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Unconfirmed reports said a third person was injured but had been discharged the same day after hospital treatment.
The video, taken by another holidaymaker – who was filming the incoming storm – showed that the woman was hit first followed by the man in front of her.
The man was hit as he carried hammocks he was selling in his arms.
Although the footage first started circulating on Monday, it is understood the tragedy occurred last Friday.
