Investigators said a 53-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman found dead in a hotel bed in Passau, near the Austrian border, on Saturday each died from one bolt to the heart. A 30-year-old woman found on the floor of the same room died from a shot to the neck.
Police said that they found wills alongside the bodies of the two people on the bed, who were found lying hand in hand. They gave no details of what was in the documents, saying that the contents as well as a white pickup belonging to the older woman are still under investigation. Authorities are still looking into whether the three had consumed alcohol or drugs.
The evidence suggests that the younger woman first shot the other two and then herself, news agency dpa quoted prosecutors as saying, adding that it appeared to be a case of “killing on demand” or suicide.
There are still no signs that anyone else was involved in the slayings.
Officials are still awaiting autopsy results on the bodies of two women found dead Monday in the younger woman’s apartment in northern Germany, several hundred kilometers (miles) from Passau. They had no signs of external injuries.
Authorities have not released the identities of any of the victims.
