How does Rip star Cole Hauser want Yellowstone to end?

Many Yellowstone fans are likely still reeling from the dramatic ending to season three.

As viewers will remember, this left a number of characters’ futures in serious jeopardy.

However, while this still needs to be resolved, others have been wondering what else the future could for the beloved characters.

As well as this, some have even begun speculating how the Western drama might come to its final end when the time comes.

In a recent interview with Esquire, Rip star Hauser revealed he has done the same and teased some of his hopes for the show.

He explained how Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) has a lot to do with how it will all end for Rip.

Hauser told the publication: “[Rip’s best-case end] is with Beth, in a shack.

“I think they’re somewhere happy. It would be a real success story for both of them.

“Not just for Rip, because they’ll have each other.”

Fans of the pairing are likely to agree on how this would be a perfect end for them as well.

During the interview, the star also opened up about whether he thinks Rip and Beth can reach this happy ending or not.

When asked if they could end up together, he replied: “Absolutely. I think that world is starting to open up.

“That’s absolutely something that could happen.

“You’re going to see how it shakes out at the end, but… we’ll see where Taylor [Sheridan, showrunner] takes us.

“I don’t sit with him and say, ‘Hey, by year seven, are we here or there?’

“That relationship, it could go many different ways, but I think it could go in the way of us being together.”

So far, it has not been confirmed how many more seasons Yellowstone will run for.

However, the series creator Taylor Sheridan has outlined what his plans are for the future.

Speaking to Deadline earlier in 2020, he revealed how he has two more seasons planned currently.

He explained: “Well, I know how it ends. I know how the series ends, and you have to move in a straight line toward that end.

“You can’t walk in circles, waiting to get there, because the show will stagnate.

“So, you have to keep moving forward, and there have to be consequences in the world, and there has to be an evolution toward a conclusion.”

Yellowstone season 4 is expected to air on the Paramount Network in 2021.
