Why isn't North Macedonia in Eurovision 2023?

Like Bulgaria, Montenegro, Luxembourg and Monaco, North Macedonia will not appear in the 2023 edition of Eurovision.

There are only 37 nations taking part in Eurovision 2023, the lowest number of participants since 2014.

North Macedonia is not taking part due to the economic and energy crisis currently gripping the country.
