ITV viewers were left scratching their heads as they tuned into This Morning on Tuesday.
This comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson's latest announcement on Monday about plans to scrap social distancing on 19 July in what is being called 'Freedom Day'.
Daytime hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were also keen to talk about 'Freedom Day' on the following day.
But they confused fans when they sat two metres apart to social distance as they hosted the show, despite being allowed to sit side-by-side when they attended Wimbledon on Monday afternoon.
Discussing the issue of social distancing being scrapped, 40-year-old Holly said: "There's a lot of excitement out there. Cautious excitement I think."
Phil, 59, then replied: "Also there's that, 'what's the right thing to do? What's the best thing to do?' We could sit side-by-side at Wimbledon yesterday,"
Mum-of-three Holly then interrupted by saying: "Outdoors!"
Philip then went on: "But we can't sit side-by-side here because that was outdoors, and then they closed the roof so does that become indoors?"
Both bewildered by the rules, Holly admitted that "it's all very confusing", and Phil said: "I just don't know!".

This Morning viewers also seemed to be puzzled at the apparently confusing social distancing rules, with many flocking to Twitter to air their concerns.
One baffled user tweeted: "So how come you have to sit 2 meters apart in the #ThisMorning studio but can sit next to each other at Wimbledon."
A second fan penned: "#ThisMorning what's the point in @hollywills and @Schofe to sit apart on TV. Yet they sit together at #Wimbledon makes zero sense."
A third joined in and didn't seem to be happy with the hosts, saying: "Why are you sitting at a distance on This morning when you were at Wimbledon sitting together?! This show… #ThisMorning"
A fourth then added: "Absolutely hilarious these two are sat so far apart after posting pics next to each other at Wimbledon."
Phil and Holly had posted selfies together whilst they enjoyed watching the tennis at Wimbledon.

Phil took to Instagram and shared a smiling selfie with blonde beauty Holly – taken from their seats in the stadium with the tennis court in the background.
Holly could be seen wearing a green polka dot dress with a fashionable cream trench coat hanging over her shoulders – topping off the look with a cream handbag to match the colour.
Phil donned a smart blue suit, which he wore with a light blue shirt, and the iconic duo were snapped carrying a drink each as they spent the competition together.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
