Strictly's Anton Du Beke cha-cha-charms This Morning producers and lands presenting slot

ANTON Du Beke has landed a role on This Morning after charming ITV producers.

The 52-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star will be presenting the breakfast show alongside Rochelle Humes this coming Friday – and he couldn't be more excited about the role.

The pair are standing in for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford this week, with the husband and wife duo usually hosting the programme in lieu of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Fridays.

Speaking about his upcoming stint, Anton shared: "I can’t wait. I’ve big boots to fill, but hopefully viewers will welcome me with open arms."

Teasing what viewers can expect from his appearance, Anton added to The Mirror: "No doubt they’ll be a sprinkling of dancing with Rochelle at some point."

Anton has already won over This Morning fans with his 'Anton Du Bake, Baking Fails' segment on the show.

Earlier this month, Anton kicked off the four-part series, which saw the dancer cooking for his wife Hannah and their two-year-old twins George and Henrietta.

He also returned to work behind the scenes of a bakery, with Anton a trained baker before finding fame as a professional dancer.

Speaking at the time, Anton explained: "Not everyone will be aware of this other side to me, they might just see me as a dancer, but baking has always been my other passion."

And it appears that This Morning could just be the tip of the iceberg for the BBC One star, with Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood recently admitting that Anton could be a "great" replacement for judge Darcey Bussell on the next series of the dance show.

The pro is said to be the cast and crew's favourite to take the job, but at the weekend it was revealed that his fellow professional dancer, Oti Mabuse, is the bookies favourite to nab the role following her judging stint on The Greatest Dancer earlier this year.

Last month, Darcey,  50, announced that she was leaving the Strictly judging panel after six years.
