Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, 15, reveals she was bullied relentlessly at school in Britain

STRANGER Things star Millie Bobby Brown was relentlessly bullied at British schools, triggering a secret battle with anxiety.

The 15-year-old, tipped to bank £100million in her career, said it was so bad she had to change schools.

And her “issues” made it harder to cope with “soul breaking” taunts online. She said: “I was bullied at school back in England. So, it’s extremely important for me to speak out against bullying.

“I actually switched schools because of it, it created a lot of anxiety and issues that I still deal with today.

“I have dealt with situations both in real life and online that are soul breaking and it genuinely hurts reading some things people said.”

Millie was born in Spain and raised in Bournemouth by parents Robert and Kelly, who nearly went broke helping her achieve her acting dream.

She went to Pokesdown Primary before her family emigrated to Florida in 2011, when she was  seven.  They moved to California after she was spotted by a talent scout and briefly back to the UK before she landed the role of Eleven and shaving her head.

Millie, who has 18.5million Instagram followers, is using her celebrity profile to combat bullying.

Speaking to Glamour UK in an interview with  Orlando Bloom  she said: “Young people’s lives are increasingly under pressure.”
