Sharon Beale (Letitia Dean) encounters a huge problem in EastEnders in her mission to poison Ian (Adam Woodyatt), as she runs low on the pills she needs in order to exact her revenge.
Sharon has been hellbent on making Ian pay for the part he played in Dennis Rickman’s (Bleu Landau) demise.
Viewers will know that Dennis lost his life onboard the party boat on the Thames, after Ian locked him in a room below deck.
While Ian did try to rescue the young man, tragedy ultimately ensued, and Dennis sadly died.
Ian has riddled with guilt, and therefore supported Sharon as she grieved, but the Queen Vic landlady discovered the truth about her son’s death several months ago, and has been attempting to exact revenge ever since.
Over the festive season, viewers learned that she and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) orchestrated the attack on Ian, but when he lived to tell the tale, she decided to devise a new strategy.
Yes, in a typical tale of keeping your enemies close, Sharon ultimately married Ian, and has since made it her mission to poison him, and has been crushing up pills and putting them in his tea.
However, her plan to slowly poison her new hubby hits something of a roadblock tonight (January 7), as she realises she’s running out of pills.
Will she be able to follow through and secure some more in order to continue her poisonous plan?
If so, will she be thwarted at last and her murderous revenge plan therefore be exposed?
Or will Sharon perhaps see sense and reconsider?
She’s got more than enough reason to be angry at Ian, that’s for sure, but she’s certainly not a killer… right?
EastEnders airs these scenes Thursday January 7 at 7:35pm on BBC One.
