Ruth Langsford stops Linda Robson breaking social distance rules on Loose Women

Linda Robson almost broke social distancing rules during today’s Loose Women until Ruth Langsford managed to intervene.

During the latest instalment, Jane Moore dared to cut her own fringe – mirror in one hand, scissors in the other.

And, actually, it turned out ok.

However, as Jane struggled to get the mirror in the right position, Linda offered a helping hand.

‘Do you want me to hold the mirror for you?’ she asked, momentarily forgetting we’re in a pandemic and everyone in the UK needs to keep two meters apart from anyone not in their household.

Ruth stepped in and warned: ‘No you’re not allowed to stand near her, Linda.’

Loose Women returned to ITV this week after the afternoon favourite was taken off-air and replaced with repeats during the coronavirus lockdown.

For the foreseeable future, just three panelists will be allowed in the studio with another Loose Woman joining in via Zoom.

A statement released by ITV last week said: ‘Adhering to all of the necessary social distancing requirements, there will be some adjustments to the broadcast of Loose Women during this first phase of returning to air.

‘Three women will be in the studio with one panellist joining via video link. There will also be some pre recorded shows across the week in addition to live shows on Mondays and Wednesdays to limit the footfall at the studios.’

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
