Rita Ora hints at quitting The Masked Singer as she starts filming new movie

Rita Ora has hinted she could be saying goodbye to The Masked Singer as she discussed juggling her role on the show with her upcoming movie The Pocketwatch.

It was revealed last year that the singer, 32, joined the cast of the Disney+ film – a musical sequel to The Descendants and plans to start filming next month.

In a recent interview with GQ, the ITV judge spoke about managing her work commitments as she prepares to take on a new project.

When asked why she joined the show, Rita told the magazine: ".it felt like a good idea to sit alongside Jonathan [Ross], who I’ve loved since day one, Davina [McCall], who’s my TV icon, and Mo [Gilligan], who I met during the show."

She gushed: "It makes your job so much easier when you love the people around you."

However, Rita noted she doesn't know what the future holds, adding: I don’t want to walk away from that family right now, but you never know what’s going to happen."

This comes after the singer responded to claims she and her movie-director hubby Taika Waititi are in a 'throuple' with actress Tessa Thompson.

The chart-topping musician and her hubby Taika, 47, sparked 'throuple' rumours after they were snapped getting cosy with Tessa, 39, during a heavy drinking session.

She has now responded to the rumours ahead of the launch of her new album.

Rita, 32, told GQ magazine : “Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve had a lot of drinks, and everyone’s your best friend?

“And then the next day, you’re like, ‘I was talking to this person in the smoking area for four hours, and I’ve got no idea who they are?’

“Literally – that [photo] was just a bunch of friends having a good time. They [Taika and Tessa] had a crazy schedule, and everyone was letting loose.”

When asked about the rumours at the time, husband Taika told Sydney Morning Herald: “I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick.

“And also, ‘is it that big a deal?’ No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It’s fine.”
