Michael Jackson's son Prince, 22, graduates from university with dad's 'we must believe' quote on his gown as little brother Blanket, 17, supports him

MICHAEL Jackon's eldest son Prince has paid tribute to his late father while graduating from university.

Prince, 22, has received a degree in business after completing his studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

And while collecting his honours, Prince made a public nod to his musician father Michael, who died aged 50 in 2009.

Draped around his neck was a personalised graduation scarf, which bore Michael's famous 'we must believe' quotes.

It read: "In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to HOPE.

"In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to COMFORT.

"In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to DREAM.

"In a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to BELIEVE."

The scarf also featured the logo for the Heal Los Angeles, which was founded to further support Michael Jackson's Heal The World charity foundation.

Prince's full and real name, Michael Joseph Jackson, was embroidered on the other side of his scarf.

Prince was not alone during his graduation ceremony, as his younger brother Blanket was there to support him on his big day.

The siblings posed for a picture together, with Blanket notably towering over his older brother.

Yesterday I graduated from @loyolamarymount Cum Laude in the school of business with a focus on entrepreneurship. I met so many people and learned so much that the experience alone is worth it. I wish I could thank everyone that helped me make it to the end but I can’t and unfortunately they’re not all pictured here. But the biggest thanks goes to @tjjackson9 and his brothers @tarylljackson and @tajjackson who kept pushing me to graduate and finish up my degree when I wanted to quit. Honestly I can’t tell you if all of it was worth it yet but I am proud of my degree as I believe it is a testament to my dedication and discipline. I’m thankful for LMUs education of a whole person and the implementation of Jesuit values because I believe they inspire graduates like me to continue to change the world for the better.

Their grandmother Katherine, who has jointly raised the boys and sister Paris with Michael's nephew TJ, was also there.

Sharing a picture of himself next to his gran, who was sat in a wheelchair, Prince also told his Instagram followers that he has his cousins – TJ, Taj and Taryll – to thank for his success, especially after he almost quit university.

He said: "Yesterday I graduated from @loyolamarymountCum Laude in the school of business with a focus on entrepreneurship.

"I met so many people and learned so much that the experience alone is worth it.
