Mastermind hopefuls face simple questions to get on the show – how many can YOU answer?

MASTERMIND hopefuls face simple multiple choice questions in a bid to take part on the TV show.

The BBC2 quiz — renowned for being tough — is recruiting eggheads for a new series.

But the online process begins with 20 questions of a level seen at a pub quiz.

Applicants are warned not to Google answers or ask a friend — but no measures are in place to catch cheats.

The BBC tells applicants hoping to sit in the revered black leather chair: “These are all the type of questions which could appear on the show, however none of these will appear on the show.”

Potential contestants will also take part in an audition over Zoom, including a quiz.

The show — hosted by Clive Myrie — first aired in 1972.

Applications close at midnight on May 9.
