ROBERT Sudgen will be caught after going on the run with husband Aaron Dingle as they attempt to escape murder charges.
But this won't be the end of the character as Danny Miller (Aaron) admitted Ryan Hawley (Robert) is still filming on the ITV soap.
The husbands end up fleeing after word that Lee Posner has died reaches the village.
Robert fatally injured Lee when he sought revenge against him for raping his sister Victoria.
Rather than face prison, the pair go on the run – but it doesn't end well.
Speaking to Digital Spy about their time on the soap together, Danny Miller said: "It's been amazing working with Ryan.
"It's been full on and we sometimes get on each other's nerves, but we just work so well together. We have a level of trust and understanding that I will really miss.
He adds: "I already miss him and he hasn't even left yet! I was doing scenes without him today, talking about Robert and it just felt weird but I guess everything good comes to an end."
Robert and Aaron's relationship is a favourite among Emmerdale viewers, with fans affectionately labelling the pair RobRon.
The Sun initially revealed Ryan Hawley would leave the soap back in June.
A source told us: "Emmerdale fans have loved every minute of RobRob's story, and what Ryan has brought to playing Robert.
"But he has decided to take a break from the show for the foreseeable future and try other projects.
"He will leave later this year, but fans can expect to see him on screen up until the end of the year. He will be sorely missed."
One of his biggest storylines involved him accidentally killing his sister-in-law (and ex lover) Katie after she took a photo of him and Aaron kissing.
He was engaged to Chrissie White at the time.
Ryan is the fourth person to play the character, with the others being Richard Smith, Christopher Smith, Karl Davies and Ryan Hawley.
