Emmerdale’s Belle breakdown escalates, Nate prison twist and brutal attack

Emmerdale are re-visiting Belle Dingle's worrying mental health battle at the moment, with things getting worse in next week's episodes.

Meanwhile, with the Jamie Tate drama still going on, Nate Robinson decides to take the wrap to get Belle away from the trouble.

Emmerdale spoilers suggest Nate might be well and truly cementing himself as part of the Dingle family after months of feuding with his dad Cain.

Elsewhere, there's more family drama, as Paul Ashdale ends up fighting with his son Vinny after his gambling habit begins to take over again.

It looks like there'll be big changes in the characters' lives by the end of the year.

Belle's breakdown worsens

Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) returns home after her night at the police station.

The Dingles start wondering who the new witness for the hit and run could be who has given evidence against Belle.

But soon, her brother Sam (James Hootton) realises she's behind on her medication and encourages her to take it.

Belle hears the voice of Lisa tell her not to though, and obediently does as her mum's voice tells her.

How much worse will things get for Belle?

Sadly, it seems quite a bit, as towards the end of the week things really take a turn for the worse.

Nate prison twist

As Belle battles with herself silently, Nate (Jurrel Carter) is stunned when he learns about the extent of her schizophrenia.

Nate offers to take the blame for the hit and run to try and keep Belle out of harm's way.

His dad Cain (Jeff Hordley) can't help admire his son – could their frosty relationship be thawing?

Meanwhile, pregnant Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) overhears Nate's plan and is fuming to realise he may be going to prison for Belle.

When he arrives at the station, Nate struggles to pluck up the courage to go in and confess – will he go through with it?

Brutal family fight

  • Emmerdale's Jamie Tate murder fears as Belle suffers breakdown in brutal revenge plot

Vinny (Bradley Johnson) is unaware that his dad Paul (Reece Dinsdale) is gambling again, and Paul is left with a devastating loss after gambling a big win away.

Soon enough, viewers discover that Paul has stolen Ellis' () watch to try and get back some of his lost money.

A fight almost breaks out between Ellis and his brother Billy (Jay Kontzle) over the watch, and a guilty Paul intervenes.

The watch mysteriously turns up and Vinny suspects something is wrong, so, concerned, heads home to investigate.

He finds his dad at the scrapyard and accuses him of stealing the money and the watch, but Paul is defensive.

Paul reacts violently and lashes out, leaving Vinny battered and in pain on the floor.

The troubled dad quickly scarpers.

Will the father and son duo be able to patch things up again, or could this be it?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays on ITV
