Emmerdale fans fear for Belle Dingles safety as they work out Toms agenda

Emmerdale: Belle and Tom chat

Emmerdale fans fear that a killer is in the midst of the villagers following scenes between Tom King (played by James Chase) and his girlfriend Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) on Monday night’s episode of the ITV soap.

Tom’s mother Colleen (Melanie Ash) died off-screen last month and he has been acting strangely ever since.

He initially kept the news of her passing to himself meaning that Belle was shocked to learn that he had been hiding it.

While it is common knowledge that he and his mum had a fractious relationship the fact that he has shown no emotion about her death is alarming.

On Monday night’s episode, he yet again tried to avoid discussing her funeral eventually claiming that he did not want to attend much to Belle’s dismay.

He kept avoiding the issue as he was more preoccupied with why Belle was avoiding him after she rejected his marriage proposal last week.

Following the rejection in shocking scenes, he pushed her into a table, causing her to hit her head, but Belle claimed she knew it was an accident and that it was all sorted. Despite this Tom is paranoid she will leave him.

However, while he panics about his relationship Belle is convinced he will regret not going to the funeral and has been trying to convince him to book flights so that he can see his sister and say goodbye to his mother.

She even offered to book the flights for him and sort everything, which led to him confessing that he didn’t want to go alone, which prompted Belle to volunteer to attend with him.
