    Back from the dead

Eastenders fans are convinced a show favourite character will "return from the dead" in an explosive Christmas Day storyline.

Serial killer Gray Atkins – played by actor Toby Alexander Smith in the BBC One soap – has so far got away with murdering his own wife Chantelle as well as barmaid Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi.

But viewers are adamant his crimes will come back to haunt him in true soap fashion saying one of his victims LIVED to tell the tale.

In an incredible end-of-year twist that would spark the downfall of Gray fans have predicted Tina survived the attack and has been waiting to return to expose him for what he did to her and Chantelle.

One viewer wrote: "I’m convinced Tina isn’t dead. Maybe she’ll return at Christmas. #EastEnders."

The Sun revealed last month that Maisie was quitting Albert Square after 13 years.

Now she has just arrived back in the UK from Jordan where she was filming Celebrity SAS.

A source said: “Maisie wants to show there’s another side to her beyond the sweet Tiffany she’s been known for playing since she was six.

“She got a glimpse of life beyond EastEnders in Strictly and enjoyed the freedom.

“She’d signed up when she told ’Enders bosses she was leaving, and can’t wait to get stuck in and prove her grit.

“She’s determined to give a good account of herself but knows it’ll be tough.”

Corrie fans fume at soap turning Kelly into victim

Corrie fans are furious at the soap for trying to turn Kelly Neelan into a victim.

The teenager – who is played by actress Mollie Gibson in the ITV soap – was given a sympathetic showing having been released from prison.

Last night Kelly was left trapped with a lecherous older man who tried to take advantage of her.

Having had her belongings stolen from the streets where she is now living, she tried to charge her phone up in a hotel lobby.

But she was caught though before she was thrown out a man appeared to rescue her – and then offered her a night in his room.

At first Kelly said no, but later when she realised she had nowhere else to go she went to his room and tried to steal from him.

He grabbed her and she fought back, kicking him away from her and fleeing back to the cobbles where she was planning to stay with Aadi Alahan.

    Armchair detectives (continued)

Her surname – Harris – previously sent viewers in a flurry as they linked her with former villain Pierce Harris, who was sent to prison in 2017.

So when a mysterious man began following Chloe in a car, it was no wonder fans tried their best to catch a proper glimpse to confirm whether or not it was Pierce.

In a bid to unmask him, viewers did their best to pause at the critical moment the car was in full view to try and get a look at the man.

They took to Twitter to joke they were “on the floor” trying to get the best view of their screens in order to recognise the blurry face.

“Who was that person following them in the car – and who is Chloe’s dad?” one fan wrote to social media.

    Armchair detectives

Emmerdale fans are convinced they have worked out who Chloe’s dad is after pausing the soap at a crucial moment.

The teen’s past has remained a mystery since she joined the ITV soap – with viewers trying their best to work out who she could be related to.

Now, eagle-eyed fans think they have worked out who her dad is – having looked closely at their TV’s while Chloe and Kerry were followed by a mysterious car.

Viewers know that her “dangerous dad” has been in prison, and that Chloe was related to sister Gemma, who died three years ago.

Theories have passed back and forth across social media, with audiences convinced that her father must be a character from the soap’s past.

Fans stunned as this character is revealed as a secret NAZI

The city boy thug – who is played by actor Charlie Wernham in the BBC soap – was exposed as being involved in a brutal attack on a Muslim taxi driver tonight.

However the slimy racist managed to convince his dad that he was trying to stop the attack – and that he needed a false alibi.

Harvey shockingly lied to the police for his son, but said he felt sick doing it – and then laid into Aaron for involving himself with fascists again.

“You disgust me,” he said. “These people are not your friends Aaron – they’re far right.  They’re fascists – they’re not patriots, they’re Nazis. They’re what your great granddad fought against.

“It’s my job to protect you, to keep you away from trouble like that but that is it. That is the last time. You were with them scum. I mean it – one more foot out of line.”

    When did Coronation Street begin?

From the moment Coronation Street first aired live on December 9, 1960, millions have been gripped by the ups and downs of Weatherfield’s residents.

Its early days portrayed a realistic kitchen-sink drama showing the ordinary day-to-day lives of working-class northerners, and the show was considered ground-breaking.

It is the second longest running soap opera in the UK after The Archers.

But not everyone liked it. One early critic wrote: “The programme is doomed from the outset . . . with its dreary signature tune and grim scenes of a row of terraced houses.”

Over sixty years on and the signature tune and terraced houses are still there.

A TV insider said: “He’s excited by the prospect of showing the nation who the real Adam Woodyatt is.

“He is optimistic it will open the minds of producers who might have previously only thought of him as Ian.

“And there are plenty of stars who’ve gone on to new things as a result of I’m A Celebrity.”

Why are Simon and Adam not in the I'm A Celeb line-up?

The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year that I'm A Celeb bosses had secured not one but two soap legends for the upcoming series.

And while they haven't yet posed in their own red bodywarmer and hat, we can confirm that they are still part of the line-up.

The two men will join the castle as late arrivals next week after the series has already kicked off – which is sure to secure some early iconic moments as they will no doubt need to take part in a Bushtucker Trial as part of their entrance.

But soap fans are still in luck with Emmerdale's Danny Miller due to make his entrance with the rest of the cast.

A source told The Sun: "Danny has been on the soap for a very long time and had been thinking about leaving. When I’m A Celeb came up he knew it was the perfect opportunity and would leave him financially secure.

“Becoming a dad to Albert has really changed his perspective on things.”

Danny became a first-time dad last month when fiancée Steph gave birth to their son Albert, and he admitted leaving his newborn behind played heavily on his mind before he agreed to sign on the dotted line.

The family unit have been quarantining together in a Welsh cottage ahead of this weekend's launch show, when Danny will say goodbye for up to three weeks.

The 30-year-old is one of 10 celebs heading into the famous castle on Sunday, having played Aaron Dingle on Emmerdale for the last 13 years.

In fact, the actor even admitted that he feels like he is a "step ahead" his co-stars due to the insight Adam was able to give.

He explained: "I confided in Adam about me taking part as he is one of my best friends in the world.

"I feel like I am a step ahead as I’ve asked him questions about what it will be like. Obviously he was in Australia and this is in Wales but he has been amazing in helping to settle my nerves."

    Ian Beale's other life

EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt is the soap’s longest-serving character and has totted up more than 3,200 episodes since first appearing in 1985.

During that time, his character Ian Beale has worked in a fish and chip shop, run several businesses and was even the landlord of The Queen Vic.

But Adam, who signed up to the soap at just16, always had a backup plan prepared if it didn’t work out.

“I was working at a butcher’s shop before I came here, I was thinking that if it didn’t work out then at least I could go back to cutting meat,” he told the Radio Times.

“I just wanted to earn money, which does sound very Ian Beale, doesn’t it?”

The 26-year-old, who is the show’s first ever deaf contestant, has been wowing the judges weekly with pro Giovanni.

Her part-silence performance on Saturday has been hailed as one of “the best ever” and she is now the odds on favourite to lift the Glitterball.
