Corries Samia Longchambon says she still feels 20 in her head as she turns 40

Samia opted for a wavy bob as she donned a glamorous makeup look before adding a pair of bold earrings to complete her look – and it wasn't the only birthday snap she captured.

The 40-year-old posed for an additional snap with OK! Magazine as she stripped off to black lingerie and covered up with a white blazer paired with some killer heels.

She leaned on her LED lights which created the number 40 as she flashed a smile to the camera.

While showing multiple looks ahead of her big bash, she posed with her husband Sylvain who was also looking dapper in his suit as they celebrated the event with black, gold and silver balloons surrounding them.

As she partied with her nearest and dearest to celebrate her 40th birthday she opened up on how she feels about getting older – and spilled her secrets on her ageless beauty.

She told OK! that her youthful looks is down to her Lebanese heritage on her father Joseph's side.

She said: "My dad passed away when he was 65, he didn't really have wrinkles. I care about my appearance and I'm lucky I don't have any wrinkles but I can tell I look older in the mornings – my face takes longer to wake up.

"I have to get my roots done every month to fend off the greys."

Samia believes that being on Corrie has made her life go faster because of their advanced filming schedule.

She said "We always film six weeks ahead – we shoot Christmas scenes in October – so it's not the number 40 I'm apprehensive about, as I'm still 20 in my head!"

The star opened up on being "really happy" with where she is in life and said that growing old is a "privilege".

She's also showing no intention to give up her role on the Cobbles after playing Maria Connor for over 22 years.
