LAKELAND, Fla. — Clint Frazier had just four hits and one homer entering Tuesday’s game, but head a big game on Tuesday.

Frazier hit a rocket to lead off the top of the fifth. The line-drive homer to left-center measured at 107 mph on Statcast, and he added two more hits in a 7-4 win over the Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium.

“It was good to see [Frazier] string some really good at-bats together,’’ Aaron Boone said. “He took advantage of a hanging breaking ball and did what he can do with those: Put a charge into it.”

He’ll play again Wednesday.

Jay Bruce will continue to get work at first base, where he’s looked fairly smooth this spring.

“The biggest thing for me is getting him more reps at first base to get more comfortable,’’ Boone said. “I feel like he’s got natural movements there, but it’s more about experience now. I think he’s looked great [and is] moving well… I think he’s everything we could have hoped for when we brought him in.”
