Man Utd transfer revolution expected in summer with Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford in doubt

MANCHESTER UNITED trio Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford could leave the club this summer – claims transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Pogba, 29, has been linked with a move to Manchester City with his contract set to expire at the end of next month.

Romano backed up those rumours but revealed it is Paris Saint-Germain who have spoken to the midfielder's representatives, not City.

The journalist also spoke about Ronaldo's future – suggesting it hinders on the superstar speaking to incoming boss Erik ten Hag.

Romano said on the Wondergoal podcast: "Cristiano is not planning to leave the club.

"Of course he's disappointed by the season because he wants to win but he's not looking for an opportunity because he wants to leave United.

"He wants Ten Hag to be clear with him.

"For Cristiano, it's not a problem for United to have one more striker because he knows that the club will sign a new striker in the summer and it's not a problem from him, from what I'm told.

"His priority is to have an honest discussion with Ten Hag in the coming weeks, to know how much Ten Hag trusts him. So there will be a direct conversation."

If Ronaldo does leave Romano believes he will be one of several departures from Old Trafford this summer.

Several stars are set to leave when their contracts expire and United could also cash in on the likes of Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Romano added: "It's gonna be a revolution, I'm sure about that. I see a United revolution in the summer.

"Many players leaving on a free, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic.

"Also players that are still in the club with a contract, who want to discuss directly with Ten Hag about their future.

"Marcus Rashford, this is going to be a really interesting one because he's out of contract in one year, with an option to extend for future seasons."

"United are pretty relaxed on this situation, on the contract side, but the player wants guarantees that he'll be an important player for the United project."

United do want to keep Pogba however and the midfielder still has a contract on offer from the Red Devils.

But his second spell at the club appears to be approaching an end with United fans becoming fed up with his attitude – even booing him off the pitch in the recent win over Norwich.

Romano said of Pogba's future: "The proposal from United is still on the table, since last July. They made a really big proposal but from Paul Pogba, still no answer.

"It's true that Man City have an interest in Paul Pogba.

"But I think, a point on Paul Pogba's side, he has not received any official proposal from Man City and it is not his priority.

"I feel that PSG have good chances. They already have had some conversations with his agents."
