'God bless this strong little lady' – UFC star Conor McGregor donates £26,000 to young girl, 6, fighting brain cancer

CONOR McGREGOR donated £26,000 to a young six-year-old girl fighting brain cancer.

The Irish MMA legend was tagged in a post on Twitter by a man named Stephen, who attached a link to a GoFundMe page which had a target goal of £35,000.

But thanks to McGregor's help, the amount has now rocketed to almost £63,000 at the time of writing.

The former two-weight UFC champion tweeted: "Stephen, that is done!

"God bless this strong little lady and her family, we are with yous all the way let’s go!"

Stephan responded: "Omg pal you are a legend, this is going to help the family so much thank you so much you are insane!!!

"@TheNotoriousMMA !! Champion in every way pal!"

It was revealed McGregor donated £26,000 to the cause.

The Notorious topped Forbes' list of highest paid athletes in 2021 with £128million earned.

And McGregor has a track record of being generous with his wealth.

In December 2020, his sister gym SBG Portarlington was forced to close with old training partner and friend Philip Mulpeter announcing the sad news.

But within two days, the former two-weight UFC champion stepped in to stop the gym from closure.

Then, at the end of June, he put forward a donation to pay for the entire Irish amateur MMA team to compete in the Youth World Championships.

McGregor, 33, also stepped up several times in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, including a £1m donation for PPE.
