Ex-WWE star Ashley Massaro’s daughter shares heartbreaking tribute

Former WWE wrestler Ashley Massaro’s daughter shared a touching tribute mourning the superstar’s sudden death at her Long Island home.

Alexa Massaro, 18, posted a photo with her mother on the red carpet following the WWE wrestler’s apparent suicide last Thursday, Fox News reported.

“I wish i could have gotten more recent pictures,” Alexa reportedly wrote on Instagram. “I love you, mommy i want to wake up in your arms more than anything i want to give u a big hug please come back this can’t be real.”

The 39-year-old Playboy cover girl was reportedly discovered unconscious at her Smithtown home after years of battling depression.

She died en route to the hospital as emergency crews attempted life-resuscitating measures on her.

Massaro — who retired in 2008 — was the first winner of the WWE Diva Search and competed at two WrestleManias.

The one-time “Survivor” contestant later blamed the WWE in a class-action lawsuit for neurological injuries suffered in the ring.

Along with other 60 pro-wrestlers, she claimed the organization failed to protect her from head trauma and concussions, which contributed to her mental health issues.

The suit was dismissed last year by a federal judge in Connecticut, but her lawyer said her family may donate her brain to a doctor who researches chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a condition associated with multiple head injuries.
