SPURS stormed back from one-nil down to record an opening weekend win over Aston Villa.

Christian Eriksen continues to be linked with a move away from the club, but came off the bench to inspire his side's late comeback.

  • BAYERN MUNICH are reportedly interested in signing Spurs target Philippe Coutinho should the Barcelona ace not be involved in Neymar's potential switch back to the Nou Camp.

    According to Sky Sports, the Bundesliga side are looking for a two-year loan deal – similar to the arrangement they had with Real Madrid when they signed James Rodriguez.

    However they state that Coutinho's preference is not to move to Germany.

  • ARSENAL stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Matteo Guendouzi put their Tottenham rivalry to one side as they dined out with Moussa Sissoko.

    The Gunners duo enjoyed a bite to eat alongside the French midfielder at the swanky Novikov Restaurant and Bar in Mayfair, London.

  • JAN VERTONGHEN was dropped from Tottenham's opening day Premier League squad because of his poor fitness levels and lack of application in pre-season, it has been claimed.

    The Belgian centre-half was a surprise omission from Mauricio Pochettino's 18-man squad but Spurs did not miss him as they ran out 3-1 winners over Aston Villa.

    Poch claimed the exclusion was a tactical one but it was actually because the 32-year-old was out of shape, according to the Mail.

    The Argentine boss is a big fan of data driven results and has not shied away from leaving big names out before if they do not hit the required standards.

  • HACKERS tried to steal £1.9m of Tanguy Ndombele's transfer fee, according to reports.

    Ndombele, 22, became Spurs' record buy following his £65m move this summer.

    French Ligue 1 side Amiens had a sell-on clause written into Ndombele's contract when he moved to Lyon in 2018.

    Get French Football News carry a report saying hackers tried to take about £1.9m of the £12m Amiens were owed from Lyon.

    The claim comes from when Amiens were preparing for a pre-season friendly against Leganes.

    It is said the club's internal email server was hacked and a £550,000 invoice was intercepted.
