It’s safe to say that in her years hosting the This Morning Show Holly Willoughby has become somewhat of a fashion icon.

However her trendsetting outfits have not always followed the on air dressing protocol that presenters must adhere too.

Yes, that’s right it has emerged that the star’s wardrobe for the show is closely monitored by stylists, as there is a set dress code of what they can wear.

One rule in particular is that the ITV presenters must only wear high street brands such as Zara and Marks and Spencer, so the viewers are easily able to snap up what the stars have been wearing for a purse friendly price.

However this is one rule the blonde bombshell has certainly broken.

During her years of hosting, Holly posted to her Instagram her usual morning outfit sneak peek pic before the show, however she was wearing a rather pricey designer skirt costing £595.

Criticised by her followers for outfit not being affordable, one user commented:

'Totes nice! Just checked it out online. You might wanna sit down…..£595'; 'Jeepers! Was just about to look for it, won't bother now far too much money.'

On another occasion the mum of three opted for an outfit costing a total of £810, as she donned a designer lace dress worth £300.

Breaking the dress code rules once again with her designer picks, the star teamed the royal blue Ganni dress with a pair of Gianvito Rossi heels which are a favourite of hers retailing at a whopping £510.

Not exactly high street bargains, but it was in honour of the royal birth which is why she may have got away with breaking uniform code for this particular on air look.

It’s just not the expensive items that are frowned upon, the gorgeous presenter did also let us in on an outfit that didn’t make it to the screen.

Captioning the post: “The one that got away #TooShortForTM”

With many sad face emojis to follow, Holly revealed that this skirt was too short for her to wear on This Morning, resulting in her having to change into a longer skirt option before being able to host the show.

Having started her role as host on This Morning back in 2009, Holly continues to push the boundaries when it comes to her style, even if she may be breaking a few rules.

We’re always excited to see what she’ll be wearing next!
