Prince William and Duchess Kate are looking forward to meeting Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s newborn
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opened up about their nephew, born Monday, during an appearance at the King’s Cup Regatta in Greenwich Tuesday.
The Duke of Cambridge told a royal correspondent they were “obviously thrilled.”
“Looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quietened down,” he said. “I’m very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.”
The duchess added it’s just a “special time” for the new parents.
“It’s such a great time of the year to have a baby. And yes, spring’s in the air and everything so it’s pretty great. As William said, I look forward to meeting him (the baby) and finding out what his name is going to be,” she said. “So it’s really exciting for both of them. And I’m wishing them the best in these next few weeks. It’s always a bit daunting the first time around.”
