IF you have a very important letter or parcel to send, you need to plan ahead when it comes to Bank Holiday.
The Post Office provides essential services including letter sending and money facilities but these could change on May 1.
If you're expecting mail, you may want to note that there won't be any Royal Mail services on Monday, May 1, 2023.
Postal services will go ahead as normal over the weekend before as this isn't a Bank Holiday.
Royal Mail posties usually deliver letters and parcels six days a week, Monday to Saturday.
But what about Post Office services over the early May Bank Holiday?

There are around 11,500 Post Office branches across the UK, the majority of which are run independently or as a franchise arrangement.
Opening times have always varied by branch, with no set hours across the network.

As opening times and hours vary from store to store, it's best to check ahead before you head out to avoid a wasted journey.
