Inside Wayne and Coleen Rooneys visit to Salt Bae restaurant Nusr Et with their four sons

Coleen and Wayne Rooney definitely aren't short of cash, but the Cheshire-based couple really splashed out after taking the while family out for a lavish meal in London.

Former professional footballer and England FC captain Wayne, 36, and his TV presenter and influencer wife Coleen, 35, took their four sons out to the infamous Nusr Et restaurant in Knightsbridge.

The Nusr Et chain is famously owned by viral meme sensation Salt Bae – real name Nusret Gokce – and costs its diners a pretty penny.

Many of its recent customers have been sharing their receipts online, revealing that a single Tomahawk steak can set you back £850.

All four of the Rooney kids; Kai, 11; Klay, eight; Kit, five; and Cass, three, headed out with their famous mum and dad to the swanky venue, who posted about it on social media.

Coleen, who boasts 897K followers on Instagram, posted a snap to her story about their visit to Nusr Et on Wednesday evening.

The Liverpudlian star had grabbed a lovely family pic with Wayne and all four sons posing against a wall featuring artwork of Salt Bae himself.

All six of the Rooney clan beamed for the camera and Coleen captioned it with a simple red heart emoji.

The family hadn't dressed up for the occasion, opting for casual wear, as Coleen was seen wearing a yellow jacket and her hair slicked back into a ponytail, wearing minimal makeup.

Wayne wore a black puffer jacket with a black roll-neck underneath and spoted an overgrown beard.

Their sons were kitted out in various designer jumpers and sweatshirts from brands such as Off-White.

Coleen wasn't the only one who posted about the restaurant visit, as Salt Bae posted about Wayne on his own Instagram account.

Just shy of 40 million followers, the Instagram sensation posed with footy star Wayne for a snap.

He had his arm around the sportsman in the image, which he captioned "My brother".

The family seemed to have paid a very late-night visit to the West London venue, as Nusret added a timestamp to the image, which read "00:52".

He also posted the snap of the whole family on his Instagram story, captioning it "Great family".

Salt Bae's steakhouse has been a hot topic of discussions since it opened its doors last month due to its sky-high prices.

Celebrities such as Gemma Collins were amongst the first to head down to Nusr Et Knightsbridge as soon as it launched, with the former TOWIE star opting for an £850 gold-covered steak.

The London branch of the global steakhouse chain has seen multiple customer receipts go viral, with one showing a total bill of £37,000 – £4,000 of which was purely down to service charge.

Some of the menu's most wildly-priced items include a portion of asparagus for £18, a side of mashed potato for £12, £11 for one can of Red Bull, and £9 for a glass of water.
