Dorit Kemsley of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is opening up about the home invasion her family suffered earlier this week.

“As you all know by now I have been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience,” Kemsley, 45, shared in a statement via Instagram Saturday night. “I’ve received so many messages of love and support and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It’s truly overwhelming.”

She added, “My kids are unaware of what happened, they slept through it and I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed.”

The reality star was reportedly held at gunpoint and robbed of all of her jewelry and handbags. After the intruders left, Kemsley contacted police and her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, who was in London during the Beverly Hills break-in.

“My family now needs to start the healing process,” she continued. “I have thrown myself into work as I want our family to return to normality as soon as possible.”

Kemsley and her “RHOBH” co-stars were all spotted out to dinner Friday night, just days after the robbery. Co-star Kyle Richards has also offered support to Kemsley and her two children, Jagger, 7, and Phoenix, 5.

“With the love and support of my husband, my incredible family, friends, fans and followers, I am confident this is the right thing to do whilst I independently work with through the trauma,” she went on. “I’m so grateful to the LAPD for their care and attention. Thank you again for all your support.”

She also added as the caption of her post, “More than anything, I’m feeling blessed that my kids and family are safe. Truly grateful for the messages of love and support from you all who have reached out.”
