Aldi has a sale on meat including bacon, sausages and burgers – and prices start from 99p

ALDI has slashed the price of meat including burgers, sausages and bacon – and prices start from just 99p.

The discount supermarket has reduced favourites that would be perfect for a fry-up breakfast, a meaty lunch or a quick dinner.

There are four meat products included in Aldi's "fresh weekly offers" deal, which changes every Thursday.

Its new deals started on Thursday so you've got four more days to get the items at the discounted price.

The reduced items include 120g packs of its luxury Specially Selected Dry Cured Outdoor Bred Back Bacon Rashers for 99p, which are normally £1.89 a pack.

There's also new square-shaped sausages, which would fit perfectly in a butty.

The 340g packs are on sale for £1.79.

If you fancy a burger, there are new Picanha Beef Burgers, which you can pick up for £2.69 for two.

These burgers are made with a cut of beef called picanha which is a type of sirloin.

And to save money on a takeaway, Aldi now sells Thai Green Chicken Meal Kits for £3.49.

The meal kit will contain all the ingredients you need to make a delicious curry for two people.

Even though the items are on offer, remember to shop around even within Aldi to make sure you're getting the best price.

For example, you can get bigger 300g packs of smoked bacon for the same price as its luxury rashers at the discount supermarket.

You can also buy packs of eight sausages for £1.29 – 50p cheaper than the square ones.

The items are only available in stores, not online.

As with all Aldi deals, the offers are only available as long as stocks last.

And the deal will change this coming Thursday, when other products will be reduced instead.

Aldi has around 600 shops in the UK. Find your nearest branch using its online store finder tool.

The discount supermarket recently slashed the price of a £30 10ft paddling pool down to £10.

Aldi has also launched a garden furniture range including sofa sets and sun loungers.

It's also selling a fire pit that can be used as a BBQ for £50.
