A WOMAN who didn't want to fork out for a pricey renovation managed to give her dull patio a completely new look without breaking the bank.
Michaela gave her patio the posh terrazzo look herself with three cheap buys.
To start with, her patio was just boring grey concreate, which looked fine but it wasn't quite what the DIY fan had in mind.
So she used a roller and a lighter shade of grey paint to instantly make the whole garden look brighter.
She applied the weatherproof floor paint in small sections and evenly dispersed decorative paint chips, which she bought from eBay,over the wet paint.
The black and white paint chips are what gave the concreate the expensive terrazzo look.

If you wanted to try this trick out for yourself you could use a light beige or cream colour for a similar expensive look.
The real deal consists of small chips of marble, quartz, granite or even glass, but Michaela's budget hack looked just as good.
She continued to paint and spread the chips over the entire patio, making sure there were no clumps.
Finally, she went over it all with sealer and a clean roller so the new patio would last longer.

Once it was dry the finished patio looked amazing, and the best part it would've only cost a fraction of real terrazzo tiles.
Micaela shared the before and after video on TikTok, and you'd never be able to tell it was a budget DIY job.
She captioned the clip: "All you need is weatherproof floor paint, paint chips from eBay and some sealer.
"Perfect temporary solution until you save up for the real thing."
