Headbands have long been adored by schoolgirls, but royal women have proven that the bands can be a cute addition to a formal outfit. Kate Middleton and Princess Beatrice are famed for their love of headbands, but royals like Princess Eugenie and Sophie, Countess of Wessex have been known to dabble in the trend, as have other royals in Europe.

Princess Beatrice’s burgundy headband

For the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Prince Philip in March 2022, Princess Beatrice opted for a burgundy headband with floral embellishments that was topped off with a small net veil.
