I’m a fashion pro – the best swimsuit styles for hiding a bloated belly & yes you CAN still wear bikinis | The Sun

HITTING the beach with a bloated belly doesn't feel great – but that doesn't mean it can't still look great.

If you're so inclined to cover it up, one fashion blogger has shared her shopping tips for hiding a bloated belly in a swimsuit, rounding up her favorite styles that get the job done.

Abby lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and runs Sister's Guide to Style.

In June, she shared her swimwear recommendations for concealing a bloated belly on Instagram and Pinterest.

"The goal is to play up your best attributes while downplaying others," she explained.

To that end, her first suggestion is to try a ruched swimsuit.

"Try a one-piece ruched swimsuit with adjustable ties on the side," she says.

Next, she recommends something with detailed stitches around the waist to highlight your figure.

"Exude confidence in a swimsuit that gives the illusion of an hourglass figure with the stitching," she says, modeling another one-piece suit.

Her third and final suggestion in a bikini, with Abby indicating it's possible to wear a two-piece while bloated.

In this case, she wears a pair of bottoms that are higher-waisted, with the top falling just below her belly button.

But they key, she said, is to make people look up top instead of at your stomach with something interesting and voluminous at your shoulders.

"Draw attention to the shoulders with a puff or ruffle sleeve," she says.

Commenters on Instagram have thanked her for the "super helpful" tips.
