YOU may think all hope is lost when you get an oil stain on your clothes.
But before you throw out your stained shirt, one cleaning fan has suggested turning to your kitchen sink instead.
Ann Russell, a TikToker who regularly shares her cleaning advice, posted a response to a woman complaining about an olive oil stain on her favorite T-shirt.
In her video, Russell said the secret to getting rid of oily stains is "washing up liquid," aka dish soap.
A bottle of Gain dish soap will only cost you 97 cents at Walmart, making this useful cleaning hack one of the cheapest tricks out there.
To remove your oily stain, Russell said to first dilute your dish soap with water until it's runny.

Then, you'll want to rub the dish soap on the stain on both sides of the fabric using your fingers.
Next, put more dish soap on the stain and rub until the stain goes all white.
Finally, Russell explained: "Rinse it out under a hot tap and do that again and again and again and at some point, instead of just going white, it will start looking bubbly.
"At that point put it in and wash it again."
