Prince William may have appeared to pay tribute to his brother Harry on his 37th birthday on September 15th but royal expert Duncan Larcombe believes the short message posted to his official Twitter account proves the brother's feud is still raging on.

Taking to his Kensington Palace social media accounts, William and Kate shared an image of Prince Harry at a past royal engagement, alongside a caption, which read: "Happy Birthday Prince Harry!"

Duncan Larcombe tells OK! "I think the birthday message confirms that the rift continues. It was brief, there was no sentiment or emotion.

"In previous years, William has shared photos of them together and longer messages with more heartfelt words. This was plain and simple. As brief as it could be."

William and Harry's relationship faced tension in early 2020 when Harry announced that he and Meghan were stepping down as senior royals.

Things were then said to have become frostier when Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey in April for a tell-all chat about their life in the family.

During the explosive interview, Meghan revealed that it was William's wife Kate who had made her cry over a row with flower girl dresses and the couple revealed that a senior member of the family had expressed concerns over their son Archie's skin tone.

Harry also claimed that he believed his brother William and father Charles were "trapped" in their life as royals.

It was also revealed this year that Harry was planning to write an intimate memoir about his life experiences.

The book, by the Duke of Sussex, 36, is set to be released late next year with publisher Random House presenting it as an "uplifting human story" from the sixth in line to the throne.

Random House announced the news on Twitter on Monday 19 July alongside the quote by Prince Harry, which read: "I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but of the man I have become."

The Duke of Sussex continued: "I've worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

This week, it was also revealed that Harry and Meghan were the cover stars of Time Magazine and had been named in a list of 100 most influential people.

Royal biographer Omid Scobie announced the news on his Twitter feed as he shared the front cover of the magazine which featured the Duke, who turned 37 today, and the 40 year old Duchess of Sussex.

The snap sees Meghan wearing a cream shirt jumpsuit with her brunette hair cascading down her front while her husband dons a green jumper and places one hand on her shoulder.
