Kristen Taekman appeared on “Real Housewives of New York City” for just two seasons, but the model-turned-fashion blogger is open to returning to the Bravo reality show — with thicker skin.
“The only thing I regret is that I should’ve been a tougher cookie,” Taekman, 42, told Page Six at the Smile Train Gala Thursday night for the cleft care charity’s 20th-anniversary celebration in New York.
“I was just raised to be kind to my elders,” she continued. “I mean, I was 30-something, and they were … you know. It’s just not my personality to be, like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ [at a dinner party].”
On Season 6 of “RHONY,” Taekman clashed with current cast member Ramona Singer after Singer threw a glass at her during a trip to the Berkshires.
This season, Singer is again butting heads with another newbie — Barbara Kavovit — whom Taekman said she knows personally through Luann de Lesseps.
“I love Barbara. I was really happy to see her join this year,” Taekman said. “She’s a new girl and they’re all going to pick on her, especially Ramona. She likes to pick, pick, pick.”
The mom of two said she thinks Kavovit is “holding her own,” though, saying, “Barbara is a tough cookie. It’s great how good of a friend she is to Lu — Luann needs that support.”
Taekman added that the cast should bring in some “new blood” next year because she thinks this season feels “just a little stagnant.”
