Kelsey Parker says daughter Aurelia talks to her late dad Tom after The Wanted stars death

Kelsey Parker says her daughter Aurelia talks to her late dad Tom Parker after The Wanted star tragically passed away, aged 33, from brain cancer in March.

Tom’s brave widow made an appearance on popular Channel 4 show Steph’s Packed Lunch to discuss Tom’s untimely death, and how their two young children, Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, are coping with it.

Kelsey, 32, looked fantastic in a flower printed dress with puffball sleeves and calf-length cream boots as she candidly opened up about life after Tom.

Speaking about Aurelia, she said: "Aurelia does understand, she knows that her dad's gone and he's not coming back. It's hard because when I go, if I'm going to work or anything, she's like where's my mummy going, is she coming back? I think that's what's hard," she said.

Of her son, she said: “Bodhi has no clue, but Aurelia, she struggles with it so much more because she's so aware.”

Revealing that she encourages her daughter to talk to her daddy, Kelsey explained: "She does talk to him. I tell her she can talk to daddy and he's always listening, he's around all the time. And then the other day she was like daddy I love you. It's hard.”

After Steph said: “That must be so hard for you. I guess you’ve got to continue being a mam”.

Kelsey replied: “My kids don't wake up sad, so I can't wake up sad. They're awake and they're like what's happening, what's for breakfast, what's on TV. I can't wake up sad, I'm doing it for them."

Tom Parker's life in pictures from fame to beautiful wedding with Kelsey and fatherhood

Kelsey revealed at the end of March that Tom had sadly died following his 18-month battle with brain cancer.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence," she said.

"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children. He fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you.”

In an interview with Loose Women in May, Kelsey admitted that, despite the diagnosis, her ‘soulmate’s’ death had still come as a “shock”.

When asked by Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams if she and Tom had talked about plans for his funeral before he died, Kelsey said: “We never went there…like I know he had terminal cancer but this actually came as a massive shock to us,”

“I didn’t feel like this was going to be the end for him”.
