Anne Hegerty discusses her taste in men on Loose Women
Anne Hegerty, 62, reflected on her difficulty of finding love due to her Asperger’s, a form of Autism, which she was diagnosed with aged 45. The Chase quiz master said her longest relationship had been four months long, as she couldn’t give him the attention he needed.
In a previous episode, the quizzer explained how living with Autism has an affect on her behaviour.
“Intelligence is being able to figure stuff out, and being able to get my head around a new situation,” she said in a clip from The Chaser’s Road Trip.
She added: “It might well be argued that is something I have trouble with.
“I think I’m a better quizzer because I’m autistic.

“I think autism makes it easier for me to remember stuff.”
In a clip from tonight’s episode obtained by the Mail online, Anne, Mark Labbett and Shaun Wallace complete a test to find their level of emotional intelligence (EQ).
The show’s narrator Rob Brydon explained to viewers that 90 per cent of people have a higher percentage.
Also, in the episode, Anne opened up on how living with Apserger’s impacts her love life.
The chaser explained that her longest relationship lasted just 16 weeks.
She said: “One of the things that really goes along with autism is that I really can’t hold down relationships. I’ve tried.
“My longest relationship was four months and that only lasted that long because he lived in Brighton and I lived in Manchester.”
Anne added her ex was “lovely” but she couldn’t give him the right amount of attention.

It’s not the first time the Governess has opened up about her love life in recent weeks.
Speaking on Loose Women earlier this month, she said she would like to date a man who has “been around the block”.
She added she had messages from “older women” who were “hoping” that she is gay.
Anne explained: “I have a fanbase amongst gay men, I don’t know what that proves, but most of my fans are women, most of them are older women.
“I think some of them are hoping I’m a lesbian, and I have to sort of let them down gently.”
She went on to say she had always been into “older men” and said her “ideal bloke” is Men in Black actor Tommy Lee Jones.
The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV.
